How SMART for Personal Use Works

The “SMART LINK” is technically advanced equipment. Not only does it allows us to monitor our clients for emergency signals which we would receive from a client’s pendant or watch but with the installation of additional sensors it can monitor for inactivity, detect a rapid fall and monitor for fire. Every “SMART LINK” installed does daily self testing to ensure that it is communicating with our station, to ensure that the back-up battery is charged and to ensure that the button on the pendant or watch is functioning and has a strong signal.

A technically reliable system such as the “SMART LINK” must be partnered with exceptional monitoring to ensure that the response to an alarm is not only rapid but also appropriate for the emergency situation.

The “SMART LINK” is monitored by a team of professionals that are specially trained to deal with medical emergencies. Unlike residential house alarm monitoring services, our team are experienced at providing service to seniors, those with medical conditions and those who are vulnerable. When extra time or care is needed to properly deal with or follow up with the client, this time is available.
